Welcome back to MOMKAST! In today’s episode, we will take you on a special adventure to the Sidr Club Karachi, an educational institute that combines religious values with scientific concepts. This innovative institution offers a range of courses, including Taekwondo, STEM classes, Lego, and even Hindu Nazara.

Sidr Club, located in Pakistan, prides itself as the country’s only Sharia-compliant, futuristic, and child-centric school. Currently, they are running a summer camp with a variety of engaging courses. The camp caters to different age groups, starting from kids as young as 2.5 to 3 years old.

For the little ones, there is a unique Arabic circle time where children can learn the Arabic language and recite short surahs. This interactive approach, combined with nursery rhymes, helps the children develop a strong foundation in Arabic from an early age.

During the visit to Sidr Club, the MOMKAST team witnessed a captivating puppet show that incorporated Urdu storytelling, a language often overlooked in mainstream education. Recognizing the importance of Urdu, Sidr Club has dedicated special sessions on Saturdays to teach Urdu storytelling in innovative ways, reviving the tradition of grandparents sharing stories with children.

Another notable aspect of Sidr Club is its commitment to inclusivity. The institute welcomes differently-abled children and provides one-on-one sessions before integrating them into regular classes, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.

The tour continued with a glimpse into the Arabic language class for children aged 5 to 10. The students confidently introduced themselves in Arabic, highlighting the effective teaching methods employed at Sidr Club.

Moving on to the summer camp activities, Sidr Club incorporated a theme around natural disasters to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Children were engaged in ice-steam activities, such as creating rain clouds and volcanoes, fostering curiosity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.

Sidr Club goes beyond academic courses by offering a co-working space for parents, allowing them to work while their children participate in various activities. The institute also emphasizes the importance of play-based learning and provides Lego classes to stimulate creativity and cognitive development.

With a strong focus on individual preferences and learning styles, Sidr Club tailors its approach to suit each child’s needs. By considering visual, auditory, and hands-on learning methods, they ensure every child has an optimal learning experience.

As the MOMKAST team wrapped up the visit, they had a conversation with Dr Nousheen Zakaria, the founder of Sidr Club. She shared the details of the courses offered, including the timings and fees. Sidr Club offers a variety of programs, ranging from Arabic Circle Time to Taekwondo classes, with flexible options to suit different schedules and budgets.

Sidr Club’s mission to integrate religious values with modern education has garnered praise from parents and educators alike. With its unique approach and commitment to inclusivity, Sidr Club stands out as an educational institution that nurtures the holistic development of children.

If you are looking for a place that combines religious teachings, scientific concepts, and promotes a child-centric approach, Sidr Club might just be the ideal destination for your child’s educational journey.
